The Academy program caters to the most talented players in Ottawa. These are some of the most professionally run, competitive and dynamic programs in the province. Beginning in 2018, the 2005 boys and girls Elite Academy teams will compete in the OPDL.
The CUSC year-round Academy program is absolutely one of a kind in this region. Players train with our professional coaching staff, on a full year schedule modeled after European professional academies. Training is in the late afternoons, directly after school, with bus transportation available for players in the area. Players go from school to training every weeknight, and are done training in time to be picked up at 5:30pm, with ample time in their evenings to spend with family, on homework, and other interests.
U16-U17 Academy squads will participate in professional staff run training sessions 2 times weekly (90 minutes in the dome) as well as competing in indoor competitive leagues on the weekends. Some teams may also add a third session in the gym. Full field games will be scheduled periodically, and teams may also participate in tournaments across Ontario and Quebec.
Once weekly Keeper Training for keepers.
* Please note that keepers in the year round Academy need not register for this program, as their keeper training will be encompassed in their regular program.
